Leadership
Calvary Baptist Church began as a small group of people who believed in the inerrancy of the Bible and in the sufficiency of the cross of Jesus Christ. This group began meeting in their homes to pray, study their bibles, and seek the Lords direction. Sensing a need for a solid Bible teaching church in Byesville – Calvary was launched on June 16th 1946.

Ryan & Julie Bump

Pastor Ryan Bump came to Calvary in August 2025, having served in student ministry since 2016 and coming from Berean Baptist Church in Portage, MI as an Associate Pastor. He has a heart for helping people go deep in the Word of God while walking away with practical ways to apply the Word of God in peoples’ lives.
He is married to his beautiful wife Julie and has 5 children. They enjoy many things in life including the outdoors, movies, and games together.
Pastor Ryan’s heart is to see this generation of God’s people grow and develop their given gifts to bring the next generation of believers closer to the Lord. He loves serving in equipping ministries and seeing people deepen their love for God’s Word.
