Connect Groups

CBC is committed to creating & sustaining authentic Christian relationships and our “Connect Groups” is the primary means of accomplishing that goal.  Connect Groups serve to help connect you to God, to His Word, and to one another.

Getting connected to a Small Group is the best way to grow in your relationship with Jesus. Our Connect Groups are designed to help you deepen your relationship with Christ, and with others. Connect Groups are a place where you are consistently encouraged and challenged to apply the truths of God’s Word to each area of your life.

Connect Groups are not “another thing” we do at Calvary; they are the main channels for discipleship and care for each person who is a part of the CBC family.

We believe…

  • Connect Groups are the Biblical model for discipleship (Acts 2:42-46)
  • Connect Groups are the best way to shepherd the whole flock (Eph 4:11-12)
  • Connect Groups give opportunity for each member to use our spiritual gifts (Rom 12:4-8, 1 Cor 12:4-7)
  • Connect Groups multiply capable ministers (2Tim 2:2)
  • Connect Groups promote Biblical love (1Cor 13:3-5)
  • Connect Groups promote unity, fellowship and maturity (1Jn 1:3,6 & Pro 27:17)

All Calvary Connect Groups are based on these three principles…

Biblical truth

  • Studying and applying God’s Word together
  • Keeping the Bible as the ultimate authority to govern our lives

Fellowship

  • Living out the “one another” passages
  • A place to love and be loved, to serve and be served, to know and be known

Accountability

  • Encouragement to grow
  • A willingness to ask and be asked tough questions
  • A place for authentic prayer

Connect Groups meet in homes every Sunday evening from 6 pm till 8 pm.  Groups meet throughout the year however we take a break during the Thanksgiving-Christmas Season (mid-November through mid-January) and a break during Summer (June through August).  When on a break from meeting in small groups we have an evening service (6 pm – 7 pm) at the church campus.
